Maya Subdivision ModelingFrom this place you will find the free video tutorials on Subdivision Modeling in Maya.
Subdivision surfaces are a mixture surface form that has features of both NURBS and polygons over and above other characteristics not presented by the other surface types. Akin to NURBS, subdivision surfaces are competent to create smooth organic shapes and can be shaped using comparatively a small number of control vertices. Approximating polygons, subdivision surfaces allow you extrude specific regions and make extra detail in your surfaces. You do this by working at diverse levels of detail on the subdivision surface and switching between the levels when required. With a subdivision surface you can construct a smooth organic object/shape with a single primitive and not be worried about attaching or stitching a variety of surfaces together as you would for a NURBS surface Modeling with subdivision surfaces are a simple method to create complicated, smooth objects for example human hands and faces. The ability to create extrusions, slight surface changes, and sharp edges means there are countless types of objects you can model. A lot of of the procedures used in modeling polygonal surfaces are valid to subdivision surfaces. Let's Start .................!!
