Creating a Room with Polygons

Let’s start our practice in Maya. We’ll begin with the lesson, of creating a room with polygons. It will be a simple Illusion of the inside scene of a room. We’ll use a cube for creating a room. A poly cube gives us 4 walls, 1 sealing and 1 floor. We’ll use 2 walls and floor only, because we want only the illusion of internal room. We’ll use a poly cube and then we’ll delete its faces that are needed no more in our scene. In this lesson you will be able to make an idea about things that we have no need to make deep details of objects when we need them in some animation. Therefore we need each and everything in detail if we want to construct some model as a design of some becoming thing in real world. For example if we are going to model a pressure cooker for a company we have to model it in each detail instead we have no need to giving details of a pressure cooker if we are just using it in some animation for some sort of presentation. Polygon Modeling is suitable for architectural designing because of its straight nature. We need hard edges in architectural modeling. So we should prefer polygon for creating a room.
