Modeling an Arch is common Architectural modeling lesson which is often taught by 3D graphics designing teachers in simple courses. But with this tutorial you will model a free hand Arch, without any précised numeric values and without any prior idea. Actually this is again not a tutorial about construction plans of Architectural world or Civil engineering field. The basic purpose of this tutorial is to familiarize student with specific tools that are frequently used in architectural modeling in 3D Studio Max, Maya and AutoCAD I mean the Boolean operations of trigonometry/geometry which are widely used in 3D software for cutting, intersecting, subtracting, or union objects into each other. With Boolean tools we get specific shapes for our desired pieces of Models. We can subtract objects or intersect or union them by using the powerful Boolean operations of Maya. Although all of the 3d Software have Boolean operations or Boolean tools including 3D Studio Max and AutoCAD but Maya’s Boolean function is much better and easy to understand in contrast of all other 3D software.
