Warmly Welcome to Maya Modeling ClassCongratulations!
You have reached at Modeling Chapter. It means that now you are familiar with the basics of Maya. If you haven’t done yet, the tutorials on Maya Basics page, I will recommend doing them first. Go! and do them first! And make a lot of practice because Maya will never be your friend if you ignore its basics.
Modeling is special term for 3D graphic Designing used in 3D Software, such as Maya, 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD, Pro Engineer, Inventor, Rivet, Rhino, ArchiCAD, Cinema 4D and much more. Modeling refers to create 3D graphics with tools and commands. There is difference between simple graphic designing and modeling. Simple graphic designing is always on 2 Dimensional surfaces as 2 dimensional objects, but when a graphic designer works in 3D, he/she models objects rather than drawing them on paper sheets or canvas. Actually modeling is same like offline modeling, because in realistic world we model things with material. For example we model a car, we model a pot, we model machine or we model a building in offline, and call it modeling. Although in 3D software we draw and design our ideas on the workspace of 3D software but it is also called modeling. In fact, almost all of the real world’s terms can be used in 3D software. This is the age of 3D, we see thousands of the things around us that are initially modeled in some 3D software. Think about a BMW car, it was modeled in 3D software first and after that it came into existence in real world. Sofas, chairs, Televisions, Computers, building materials, interiors, exteriors, and especially machinery are being modeled initially in some 3D software and after that it comes into real world. Maya is great software for 3D modeling. It provides you an open workshop where you can learn, experiment and then try your skills. It gives you as much accuracy as you can do offline with any tool. Maya has 3 features of Modeling, Polygon Modeling, NURBS Modeling and Subdivision Modeling. All of them have a variety of tools. With practice and good understanding of geometrical shapes you may easily and precisely construct a beautiful model and after finalizing it you may render your scene for final result. Maya is famous for its easy use. It is software different from all software applications because a Maya user never thinks anything is difficult. If you have idea you can model it. In this class you will learn how to model in Maya, how to create complex scenes and maintain them within Maya. I recommend you shouldn’t break the order of lessons while learning and follow the steps and make your practice more perfect because practice makes a man perfect. It is experimented that the people who ignore basic practice and go ahead ramodeling/maya-modeling/primitives.htmlpidly as an unwise and crazy person, they never get any benefit out of Maya, and they waste their time. On the other hand those who make their practice more perfect ultimately get success in all fields and features of Maya. Understanding PrimitivesPrimitives are built in objects of Maya. Maya provides all of the possible primitives such as sphere, cube, cone, cylinder, .......
Modyfing ObjectsMaya is famous for its easy and fluent use at all, especially for modeling. Whenever we shape an object in some specific ......
Compnent Level of ObjectsComponent level means the sub-object level of an object. Maya’s objects are meshes made up by Polygons, NURBS or .........
Maya has 3 basic techniques for modeling objects.
With all these 3 techniques, you will have to understand some necessary things before modeling an object, such as understanding the component level of objects, modifying objects, understanding attributes and different editors etc. These elements are common for each technique of modeling in Maya. Polygon ModelingPolygons are straight shapes have three or more than three sides characterized by 3-dimensional points that are called vertices in Maya and the straight and direct lines ................................
NURBS ModelingModeling is special term for 3D graphic Designing used in 3D Software, such as Maya, 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD, Pro Engineer, Inventor, Rivet, Rhino, ArchiCAD, Cinema 4D.....
Subdivision ModelingIt is Impossible to Construct a Building without Foundation, before Getting Started........... you................Must Watch........................
