Maya’s Paint Feature is a great fun and as well as a rich tool collection which allows you to paint weather on 2d canvas or in 3d scene. Moreover you may directly paint some 3d object in your scene. For example you have a sphere in your scene and you want to make it like a globe, so if you have an idea how to draw a world map with brush you may paint the world map on that sphere. See an other example suppose you have signboard in your scene and you want to paint it directly in your scene you will simply make the object paintable and then you will assign it to 3d paint brush. That’s it. Now you will be able to paint anything on your 3d object directly. It depends upon you whatsoever you paint on 3d object but you have a great number of brushes for painting different types of things.
