This lesson is part 1 of our NURBS modeling project. In this lesson we shall learn how to set up reference images in the scene for our modeling task. But firstly as an essential step you need to create a new project for very good management of files, images, and all other necessary stuff. If you don’t know creating and setting a new project in Maya you should watch our video tutorial in basics chapter of this website, Watch now how to create a new project in Maya. First of all you need reference images of your car real model. If you don’t have your own reference, you may use following images as references. Simply right click on the images and save them in your hard drive. Keep in your mind that you have specific values of width and height in pixel units for each image reference.
