Part 10 Cartoon Rocket Particle Flow

This video tutorial will explain how to create a particle flow for a rocket trail. After this tutorial you will able to make your own rocket, ships, guns, missiles and airplanes trails.

Trails are famous dynamic effect which mostly needed for rockets, airplanes, helicopters, missiles, war weapons and many other types of vehicles and machinery. It has been observed that often new animators are searching for a good tutorial on 3d particle trails which teach you the fire effect for your missile or rockets.

Maya’s particles feature allows you to create real flows for many things such as water flow, any other type of liquid flow, smokes, clouds, and running fires after something.

In this tutorial you will create a trail for a rocket, you will assign different keys on your rocket’s trail. Our rocket will lose its impulse and its trail will finish when rockets power will go vanished. So you will have to decrease the value of trail’s particles’ rate at specific frames.
