Motion PathThis Tutorial will demonstrate how to use a Motion Path for Animation in Maya.
Motion Path is commonly used feature of Animation software in 2D and in 3D. Motion Path is simply a curve which we draw with CV Curve Tool, EP Curve Tool, Pencil Tool, Arc Tool or some other tool like that. We select the object first and then the Curve which is path and then we go to animate menu and we choose Motion Path > Attach to Motion Path. That’s it. Motion Path is a powerful command used in various functions of animation in any of the Animation software. For example you can model Solar system, 9 planets and one sun and you can Attach all the planets to a circular Motion Path, this way you can make an animation of solar system in maya, same like that you use the motion path for flying an aircraft, sailing a sea ship or boat in water, flying insects’ motions, object oriented motions, or whatsoever you have your idea for using the Motion path.
