Kinematics in MayaFrom This Place you will find Free Video Tutorials on Kinematics for Animation in Maya.
![]() Kinematics means a feature of Maya’s animation which allows us to create animation on our rigged objects. Rigged objects mean objects that are bounded to some invisible controls and that controls are not renderable scene objects. Such as the bones of an Organic Model are not renderable objects but they control the movements of physique during an animation. Maya’s objects that are being animated, are like puppets because puppets are controlled by some outer source. Same like that when we rig objects in Maya, it means we are controlling them with invisible wires that will move them in scene while animating. Moreover, Kinematics in Maya covers nearly all classical physics that explains the movement of objects in manner of speed and time. Although, the dynamics feature of Maya is specific with Physics but with Kinematics we learn the General physics such as movement of a ball, its speed and timing. Or the vectors of movements of object in the form of curves in graph editor. From this Place you will find Free Video Tutorials on using Constraints in Maya, rigging objects, creating skeletons, assigning bones to meshes, creating joints and applying physique to them, using IK handles and making animations on them.
