PivotIn Maya every object has what is called pivot point. So when we scale or rotate the object the Object rotate or scale on the pivot point. For example if you select an object and select the route tool and rotate you will see that there is a central point on which the object is rotating. We can set these pivot points by our self. To order to do you have to press the insert key of your keyword (Home key for MAC) so we'll be able to see the pivot point. We can move it as we used the move tool there is no arrow but if you clock on any color of the RGB you are able to move the pivot in that direction. After placing in the pivot point on our required position and press the insert key or home key to set the pivot now we can rotate or scale the object. This is very simple and easy and very helpful also. Now we are a little bit familiar with manipulating and navigating the object and also introduced with the channel box and some of the tool menu and Maya tool shelf. |
