As now we are going farther in Maya let’s create something different with the CV curve and let’s see what we can do, after creating the curve we just created create another shape like below by using the CV curve tool. Create this shape in top view. You can use the snap tools to attach two points together as you can see There is a space between these curve you can attach this by using attach curves command of surfacing. Edit Curves > Attach Curves But first you have to draw a curve between that spaces then select the both curves and then do the command process, Like this. Now if the thing you have to care about mastery lead the history after using the attach curves command. If you don't delete history when you move the curve the curves we attached first will move with the new created shape like this When we attach the curves are reshape the object by using the tools what actually do, makes a new object by using the same curves. Original curve we create by ourselves is also remained behind and the new shape that created. An interesting thing is if we don't delete the history of the task we just did in Maya. We can reshape the new created objects by moving the old curves we had created like the picture below, you can see I just selected the old curve I made and by scaling the new object which created using the command attach curves is changing automatically. Be care full delete the history and also delete the old curve if you don't need it any more. Now come back to the model we were creating. |
